Our endeavour is to build a strong foundation in our children. This way the child learns & absorbs many aspects of the epic of Ramayan, thereby learning the good virtues of the Shri Ram. The characters & storytellers respond to the child’s answers and explain the importance of that question within the story.

And because of this respect, Shri Ram made Vibhishana the king of Lanka after defeating Ravana. And the reason was simple- his love and respect for Shri Ram. Vibhishan, who lived in the palace of gold, left his palace for his devotion and his dedication to Shri Ram. While living in Lanka, when all his efforts to convince Ravana failed, he made a place for himself near Shri Ram. He was the one who helped Ram in the war with Ravana. A demon living in Lanka, who never even met Ram, but still had so much love and respect for him in his heart. But what about those friends, who have never met before and there is still a lot of love and respect for the person in their heart? Such was the friendship of Ram and Vibhishan, the brother of Lankapati Ravana himself. Perhaps it was the nature of Ram, that whoever met him ended up loving him. Due to whose dedication, we see him as a true friend to date. And in Ramayana that character was – Pawanputra Hanuman. In every story, there is a character who keeps everyone's mind hooked. After overcoming all these difficulties, he not only gave the message of Shri Ram to Sita ji but was also compelled by his monkey nature, he first destroyed Ashoka Vatika and later on coming back, burnt Lanka itself.

The path was tough, from the very beginning the devta’s made it very difficult to test him, and then there came the shadow hunter demoness. For his devotion and love for Shri Ram, Hanuman ji crossed the ocean just to give his message to Sita. Although the younger brother Lakshman had also sacrificed the palace for his brother, maybe no one could have done what Hanuman did just for the sake of devotion. On one hand, the monkey king Sugriva had a friendship with Lord Ram and on the other side was Pawanputra Hanuman, whose pure innocence and devotion brought him closest to Shri Ram's heart. And later Sugriva showed his loyalty and joined him shoulder-to-shoulder with Shri Ram to help him defeat Lankapati Ravana. And out of this unusual friendship, he first saved Sugriva from his brother Bali, who wanted to kill Sugriva. In this situation, Shri Ram himself was the one, who had befriended a monkey. Friends play a very important role and are always there for each other whether it is to talk to them or fight for them in the war zone. Half monkey and half-human, probably no one would have thought that Shri Ram's friendship would be with a monkey. And in this search, he met – Vanar raj Sugriva. When Lankapati Ravana took away his wife Sita, he was left with no other way but to find Sita in the forest. He left his kingdom and started living like a sadhu in the forest. His father, King Dashratha had to exile Shri Ram because of a boon he had granted to Kaikeyi. We all know that Shri Ram was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who took birth as a human on earth. The ‘victory of good over evil’ might not have been possible if Lord Ram had not been friends with the vanaras. Then comes Hanuman, whose devotion showed him a new path. It was Sugriva’s loyalty that saved him from his brother Bali. It has taught us that in friendship, loyalty plays a major role. From the monkey king Sugriva's bond with Lord Ram to Lord Rama with Hanuman, Ramayana never fails to express the feeling of belongingness two people have in a friendship. However, one more important thing that Ramayana has taught us is friendship.
